How to Play Tank Battle: Rules, Aiming and Tactics
Tank Battle is Playgridia's turn-based artillery duel. Your 3 tanks sit at the bottom of the field and the opponent's 3 tanks across at the top. Each turn you first drive your tank, then aim and fling a shell; the goal is to destroy every enemy tank. This guide covers the core mechanics and the tactics that win.
How a Turn Works
Each turn has two phases, and when it's your turn you do both.
- Drive: first move your active tank left or right; you can duck behind a hill for cover or line up a better firing angle.
- Aim and fire: then take the shot with the slingshot mechanic — pull your finger (or the mouse) back and release. The further you pull, the more power; the pull direction sets the angle.
Arc Shots and Wind
The shell doesn't fly straight; gravity bends it into an arc (a parabola). To clear the hills in between, you have to fling the shot high enough. The wind indicator at the top matters a lot: wind pushes the shell's flight left or right.
- If the wind blows toward the target, ease off the power a little.
- If the wind blows against you, add power or raise the angle.
- Every miss gives the opponent a chance to return fire — land the first hit when you can.
Weapon Types and Target Choice
Different weapon types serve different jobs: the standard shell is reliable, heavier rounds deal wider damage, and some blast through the hill or obstacle in front of you to open a path. If the enemy is hiding behind a hill, smash the obstacle first, then hit them. For target priority, pick the nearest or most exposed enemy tank; knock them out one by one to cut down the opponent's firepower.
