Settlement and Resource-Trading Game: Free Online Game | Playgridia
If you love harvesting resources and settling a hex island but not unboxing and setting up, the settlement and resource-trading game you want is Claimridge: a free, no-download, fully browser-based turn-based settlement game. 2-4 players against bots or friends, and the match starts in seconds.
Everything that will feel familiar
- A hex island: 19 tiles, 54 corners, 72 edges. Terrain and number discs are shuffled every game.
- Dice-driven production: two dice are rolled; every tile showing that number pays each village 1 and each city 2.
- Roads, villages, cities: build with five goods (Timber, Brick, Grain, Wool, Ore) and upgrade a village into a city.
- Trade: nine coastal posts — four at 3:1, the rest one 2:1 per resource. Bank trades take multiple lots in one atomic move.
- The Bandit: a 7 halts production; anyone over 7 cards discards half, the Bandit relocates, and a robbery happens.
- Development cards: 25 of them — Gunslinger, Deed, Road Master, Supply Wagon and Boom.
- A victory-point race: village 1, city 2, Longest Road +2, Largest Army +2, hidden Deeds +1.
What makes it its own game
- No setup: no board to lay out, no deck to shuffle. Click the link and play.
- No waiting: you don't wait for a table to fill — add a bot (Easy/Medium/Hard) and start immediately.
- A move clock: 90 seconds by default; on expiry the server plays that step, so the game never stalls.
- A short mode: drop the target from Classic 10 to Quick 8 victory points and the match gets markedly shorter.
- A frontier theme: a wild-west frame with a Bandit and Gunslingers — its own independent production.
If trading and routes appeal more
If you'd rather buy and sell than harvest, there is a second option: Seven Sails. Across the Meridian Isles you load goods cheaply, ride the wind to distant ports and sell high; there are no dice — your ship moves as far as its speed, and the wind rose turns one notch each turn. Contracts, secret goals and pirates build out the rest.
