Ticket to Ride Alternative: Seven Sails | Playgridia

Love claiming routes across a map but don't want to unbox anything? Seven Sails is a free, browser-based Ticket to Ride alternative where you race for the best sea lanes instead of railway lines — no download, no signup, and a game starts in seconds.

Ticket to Ride alternative Seven Sails — mid-game sea map with island ports, trade routes and ships
Sail port to port, claim routes, and trade your way to renown.

Routes, but on the open sea

Across up to 14 rounds you sail your ship between island ports, connecting the most valuable lanes before your rivals do. It's the route-building rush you know, with wind and weather added on top.

  • Claim sea lanes: Link ports into an efficient network and lock in the best routes first.
  • A living map: Wind direction and sea events (Calm Sea, Silk Caravan, Regatta, Fog) reshape every turn, so you plan around conditions rather than a fixed board.
  • Dodge corsairs: Pirates prowling your lane put your cargo at risk.

More than routes: trade and secret goals

A light economy sits on top of the map, so laying lanes isn't enough — you also have to trade smart.

  • Buy low, sell high: Trade Timber, Coffee and gems at port Markets to grow your gold.
  • Contracts: Sign and deliver them for gold plus renown stars.
  • Upgrade your Hull: A bigger hull carries more on every voyage.
  • Secret Objective: A hidden goal (Explorer — visit 7 ports; Gem Runner — deliver a gems contract) pays bonus stars at the end.

No box, no setup

Built for 2–6 players, all you do is open a tab. Jump into a match against bots instantly or invite friends; whoever collects the most renown stars wins. No box, no rulebook, no scattered cards.

Play Seven Sails free now and set course for the busiest ports on the map.
