Sugar Duel
Everyone plays the same level at the same moment: the same board, the same falling sweets, the same goal. Line up three of a kind, make specials with four and five, and the first to finish the goal tops the round. Every round is a new world and a new goal, and big plays freeze sweets on the board of the player just ahead of you. 2–6 players, with bots and with friends.
Match 3
Rules
- 2–6 players; everyone plays the SAME level on their own board at the same time — no waiting for turns
- Everyone starts from the same board and every column drops the same sweets in the same order for everybody: the luck is equal, the moves make the difference
- Swap two neighbouring sweets; three or more of one colour in a line pop, the sweets above fall and new ones drop in from the top
- Four in a line: a Cane (clears its row or column) · four in a 2×2 square: a Bee (clears the sweets around it, then flies off and takes one more toward your goal) · an L or T shape: a Truffle (bursts the 3×3 around it) · five in a line: a Rainbow (takes every sweet of one colour); a special goes off whenever you swap it, in any direction, match or not; swap two specials into each other and they combine into a bigger blast
- Every round is a level with a goal: collect sweets of given colours, melt the snow, break the biscuits, bring the cherries down, or a score race; your moves and the round time (room option 60/90/120 s) are limited
- The first to finish the goal starts a 20-second CLOSING countdown; the round ends when everyone is done or time runs out
- The round's ranking gives stars: 1st 10, 2nd 7, 3rd 5, 4th 3, 5th 2, 6th 1; players who didn't finish are ranked by how close they got, and in a score round the highest score leads
- Frost (room option, on by default): combining two specials, firing a Rainbow or a 4-wave chain throws frost at the player JUST AHEAD of you in the standings, landing 3 seconds later; make your own big play before it lands and you shatter it — if it lands, a few sweets freeze and only a match frees them
- Room option 1, 3 or 5 rounds; the most stars takes the match, and total score breaks a tie
- If you disconnect: at a two-player table, if you are not back within 30 s your opponent takes the match (or continues against a bot); at a bigger table, after 2 minutes a bot plays your seat and you take it back when you return
How to Play
- Tap a sweet and slide it onto its neighbour — or tap two neighbouring sweets in turn
- Three or more of one colour in a line pop; a swap that makes no match slides back and costs nothing — except a special: it goes off every time you swap it
- The strip at the top shows the round's goal, your moves left and your score
- Wait too long and a suggested move glows softly
Racing & Tactics
- Moves near the bottom of the board start more chains
- Bring specials together and swap them into each other: combinations are the fastest way to the goal
- When a rival finishes you have 20 seconds left — take the shortest path to the goal
- Icicles hanging over your board? Hurry: a big play within 3 seconds shatters the frost
Online Match 3 With Friends — Same Board, Same Moment
Sugar Duel is a free match-3 game for 2–6 players at once. Everyone races on their own board but on the SAME level: the same opening board, the same sweets falling into every column in the same order, the same goal. Swap two neighbouring sweets to line up three or more of a kind and they pop; matches of four and five make specials — the Cane that clears a line, the Bee from a 2×2 square that flies to your goal, the Truffle that bursts a 3×3, the Rainbow that takes every sweet of one colour.
Because the luck is the same for everyone, the moves decide the match. When a round ends its seed is shown on screen — every sweet in that round came from it. Empty seats are filled by labelled bots (easy, medium or hard), and the bots only ever see their own board too.
A New World Every Round
When you open a room you pick a world, or choose Mixed to play every round somewhere new: collect given colours in the Sweet Shop, melt the snow under the sweets on the Snowy Peaks, break biscuit blocks in the Biscuit Oven, bring cherries down to the bottom in the Cherry Orchard, and fight frozen sweets and mixed goals in the Frost Castle. Some rounds are score races: the highest score when time runs out leads.
Rules, Stars and Frost
Each round's ranking hands out stars (1st 10, 2nd 7, 3rd 5, 4th 3, 5th 2, 6th 1) and the most stars takes the match. The first to finish the goal starts a 20-second closing countdown. With Frost on, big plays — two specials combined, a Rainbow or a long chain — throw frost at the player just ahead of you; it lands 3 seconds later, and a big play of your own in that window shatters it.
